James Mark, MD
My name is Jim Mark. I was born and raised in Ohio and went to medical school at NEOCOM as part of their 6-year program for undergraduate and medical school education. Following medical school graduation I did my residency in Chicago, IL at Christ Hospital which was the largest level 1 trauma center in Chicago. Upon completion of residency, I accepted a job at Fairview Hospital and this year completed my 25th year at Fairview.
Early in my time at Fairview, I was fortunate to serve in an administrative role as an EMS director for the west side of Cleveland (WeShare) for 10 years. During this time, I became the assistant medical director for the Fairview ED and served in that role until 2010 when I became the Director of the Fairview ED, a role I still currently hold. In 2019, I then was asked to serve in my current role as Center Director for ESI Western Region. Additionally, I have been Chief of Staff at Fairview Hospital for the last 7 years and have worked closely with our trauma and surgery teams at Fairview during this time. I look forward to working more closely with the NOTS Board and continuing to help support the excellent trauma care provided in Northeast Ohio.
