R. JUSTIN MISTOVICH, MD, MBA

: R. Justin Mistovich, MD, MBA, is a fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and MetroHealth Medical Center. His clinical and research interests include arthroscopy and the care of the young athlete, pediatric spinal deformity, and the optimal management of pediatric fractures. Dr. Mistovich is an Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and actively involved in teaching medical students, orthopaedic residents, and fellows. Dr. Mistovich currently serves as Director at Large for the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society, is the Division Director of Pediatric Orthopaedics at MetroHealth, and is the Fellowship Program Director for the Case Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Clinical Fellowship. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Annie Bacevice, MD, FAAP is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a Senior Attending physician in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and the co-director of their Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. She completed her pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, Ohio. She has been at Rainbow since completion of her fellowship in 2007 and part of pediatric trauma since 2009. Dr. Bacevice serves on the executive board of the Pediatric Trauma Society. Her areas of interest include medical education and simulation especially as it relates to trauma teams.

NATHAN HIEB, MD

Dr. Hieb is the new assistant Trauma Medical Director for Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. Dr. Hieb graduated medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine and completed his surgical residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. He then went on to complete his trauma and surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. During this fellowship he also obtained his Physician Executive Master of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business.

Dr. Cathy Khandelwal is trauma medical director and Vice Chair of surgery at Fairview Hospital. Her clinical interests are acute care general surgery and trauma. She has been at CCF for 9 years.
