
Michael Herb
Michael Herb is an Assistant Director of Public Safety for the City of Cleveland. In this role, he supports the operations of the Divisions of Police, Fire, EMS, as well as Animal Care and Control. In addition, he oversees the Office of Emergency Management which runs the City's Emergency Operations Center. Prior to his current position, he served as the Director of the Northeast Ohio Regional Fusion Center where he worked to facilitate information sharing on homeland security matters in northeast Ohio. He began his career as a police officer in Houston, Texas, but has been in Ohio for over ten years serving as an administrator for the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department and a crime analyst for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. Michael holds a BS in Criminal Justice and an MS in Science, Technology, and Public Policy from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
