Nimitt Patel, MD, FACS
Dr. Nimitt Patel graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2005. He completed a General Surgery Residency at Seton Hall University - St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey graduating in 2010 where he served as Chief Administrative Resident during his final year of residency. He went on to do a Surgical Critical Fellowship and Acute Care Surgery Fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center completing his training in 2012.
Dr. Patel joined MetroHealth System in August 2012 and currently is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. Since joining MetroHealth, he has held leadership roles as Trauma Medical Director of Fisher Titus Medical Center (MetroHealth System’s partnering Level III trauma center) and Director of Emergency General Surgery. Currently he is the Interim Division Chief of Acute Care Surgery, Trauma ICU Medical Director, and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program Director.
