Symposium Information

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Physicians, nurses, mid-level and or pre-hospital providers, residents, and all healthcare providers involved in the care of the trauma patient.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Classify the significance of an effective mass casualty incident (MCI) plan
  2. Identify key considerations in treating the pregnant trauma patient
  3. Determine required documentation in cases of pediatric abuse

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education and NOTS. The Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

CREDIT DESIGNATION

American Medical Association (AMA)

T he Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Participants claiming CME credit from this activity may submit the credit hours to the American Osteopathic Association for Category 2 credit.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

The Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.75 ANCC contact hours.

American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA)

The Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education has been authorized by the AAPA to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME criteria. This activity is designated for 7.75 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) Credit

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 7.75 IPCE credits for learning and change.

Certificate of Participation

A certificate of participation will be provided to other healthcare professionals for requesting credits in accordance with their professional boards and/or associations.
